I should hope so! You're growing a baby. First, I love this post. Second, I just read Steve's post with all the pics from your race. You are seriously tearing it up and looking amazing doing it. It's super cool how active and fit you continue to be throughout your pregnancy!Mhttp://www.projectprocrastination.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29368872.post-63276858102752568032011-03-22T20:50:27.179-05:002011-03-22T20:50:27.179-05:00I'm not sure I've ever commented before, b...I'm not sure I've ever commented before, but I am really enjoying your posts! I recently found out I'm pregnant too so the information is quite timely. :) I'm eight weeks today. (We haven't told anyone except our families yet and out of paranoia I'm commenting anonymously. You don't know me.)

I was a 10-11 minute miler to begin with, and I'm already up to 13 minute miles thanks to the warm climate I live in. Ugh. I feel SO slow.

In any case, I was wondering if you could post something about workout wear? (I know you posted about sports bras, but have you found that you had to find new shirts and shorts, or have you been able to keep wearing your old stuff? Any other advice on apparel for the pregnant runner? I don't have to worry about it quite yet since I'm not showing, but I'm afraid I'm not going to fit into any of my workout gear as I get farther along.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29368872.post-43512958111456019162011-03-21T08:05:15.029-05:002011-03-21T08:05:15.029-05:00I totally understand what you meant about "ne...I totally understand what you meant about "needing" blogging as you navigate your brave new world! I felt exactly the same when I was preggo, and it was so comforting to read about other women's experiences, if nothing else, to know that what I was going through was "normal".

Even now that I'm no longer preggo, I'm really enjoying reading blogs of women who have kids just a bit older than mine. That way when my Kid does something I can say, "Insert-blogger-name-here went through this with her kid, and ___ worked for her." My husband keeps asking me how I know to do this stuff - it is my secret mommy-network of bloggers! The other cool thing is that you are right - we don't all make the same choices or take the same path, but with bloggers, there is no emotional baggage if you don't take their "advice".

20# in 27 weeks sounds just about perfect. Don't stress about it! (Or try not to.)

You are right, don't skimp on the sports bra. And don't feel guilty, either. Your "girls" will stay big for quite some time after baby, especially if you breastfeed, so consider your sports bras a long-term investment!Amberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07377962702592019057noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29368872.post-64841835869461523732011-03-20T07:47:51.905-05:002011-03-20T07:47:51.905-05:00Congrats on finding clothes that work! I am not sure I don't think we even had clothes for the first one - they spend so much time that 1st week or so sleeping that you can t-shirt and diaper and wrap them in a blanket and they're good. We never had a nursery for any of the kids, never a crib or bottles either and cloth diapering made it really pretty cheap. I also got all their clothes (and still do) at thriftstores. Amazing the NEW stuff you'll find there as kids grow FAST when they're new. :)

Take your sleep now. Seriously. Guard it jealously. :)Kathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11262700116262217636noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29368872.post-31316085242105052292011-03-17T11:06:59.705-05:002011-03-17T11:06:59.705-05:00It's funny...even though I knew not to get wor...It's funny...even though I knew not to get worked up about the weight gain -- I was supposed to gain weight, it was good for the baby, etc. -- it was difficult when my scrawny, lovely, distance-running husband upped his training and started dropping the pounds. What happened to sympathy weight gain? Instead, 5'1" me and 5'10" him ended up a mere 2 pounds away from each other. What a jerk! Now that our little guy's here, though, things are getting back to normal. :)Meganhttp://megarunr.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29368872.post-86724847089382539322011-03-17T09:03:19.884-05:002011-03-17T09:03:19.884-05:00Love reading your udpates Pharmie! Good for feedings, adjusting sizes during pregnancy and after.
